Long term contract This individual is part of a team that is responsible for the implementation and ongoing operations of a Program Management Office. This includes defining and documenting all policies and processes of project lifecycles. This individual will champion the value of the PMO function across IT and improve the engagement and cooperation in achieving the PMO s goals. Identify new and innovative project management approaches and tools and embed these in the behavior and day-to-day activities of the organization s operations.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of a common project management methodology, standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects. Establish PMO governance framework to act as a guideline for all project activity. Oversight and governance of IT project portfolio. Maintain library of project artifact templates and govern the proper use. Training and mentoring on project execution methodology. Make it easier for project teams to deliver projects by streamlining processes, reducing bureaucracy, and providing training/mentoring. Able to lead/manage multiple programs and portfolios to successfully meet PMO objective aligned with organization s strategic goals. Requirements:
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in IT project management roles. Experience in the operation and/or implementation of PMO s. History of effective communication with business leaders, project stakeholders and team members. Knowledgeable and experienced in efficient Change Management methods. Experience with Planview or other PPM Tools (Clarity, HP PPM, etc. ) Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Proven training and coaching skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Education and
Experience:
