Summary:
The Billing Coordinator is responsible for reviewing reconciliation reports, oversight of escalation send backs to the service line providers.
Day to day responsibilities include review of daily revenue capture reports to ensure all coding and documentation was submitted for billing, review of all assigned work queues and chart review.
This position will work closely with EHM revenue cycle manager on opportunities from billing review for both physicians/APPs and coding team educational opportunities.
This position will require EPIC application training to ensure all charges were captured and interfaced to the coding/billing team.
Outlook, Microsoft and excel experience is required.
This position will require assistance with other projects and duties related to revenue cycle management on an ad hoc basis as needed.
Detailed day to day responsible include but are not limited to the below:
Review incomplete documentation accounts in escalation EPIC WQcommunicating with provider on outstanding chartscommunicating back with Coder through WQsreport weekly on outstanding send backs by locationreporting weekly top providers by locationReconciliation reports ED & Observation weekly by locationReview accounts that does not show CPT posted or pending (other WQs, Admin WQ, Reg error WQ, no charge unreviewed, not seen by provider, nonbillable)Report data on ED bedside Ultra Sound by locationTracking and report data on ED to ICU admissions not coded with 99291 (email champion every Monday)Non-Medicare last week voided charges report send to Vee Tech on weekly basisED inpatient admissions with last order observation before discharge with facility and professional CPT reportPB ED & RDU observation order accounts discharged with posted CPT 99238PB ED observation order accounts posted coded 99221, 99222, 99234 99235 report PB patients with x-ray and lab orders completed/resulted discharged CPT code 99282, 99283and 99284Report data on ED patients with dalbavancin orders report by locationReview LWOB accounts HB and PB with charge report by locationWe offer a great work environment, competitive rates and excellent benefits, including:
